Actor Dustin Diamond passed away at the age of 44 in Florida on Monday following a reveal in mid-January that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. On Monday, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), 31, went live on Instagram, detailing her harrowing experience during the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol. Ocasio-Cortez had previously spoken of her experience during the riots on Instagram Live on January 12th, during which she revealed that she had gravely feared for her life and felt unsafe sheltering in place with her Republican colleagues.
Formed in 2019, the Lincoln Project is a political committee known for being made up of anti-Trump Republicans. The committee took action to prevent Trump from being re-elected in 2020 and publicly endorsed now President Joe Biden. Two weeks after her temporary suspension from Twitter, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is once again under fire for her actions. Greene has a documented record of anti-Semitic and Islamophobic remarks as well as perpetuation of conspiracy theories including support for QAnon, and has continued to publicly back former President Trump’s baseless claims of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, which caused her Twitter suspension.
