Hopefully the classic pasta dish will only satisfy your hunger while dining in his new restaurant.
The rapper surprised guests and fans by attending the grand opening of his new restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti, in downtown Detroit on Wednesday. He was seen working the service window and handing out food to hungry customers.
Pictures on social media show the Grammy-winning rapper wearing a hooded jacket with a hat and t-shirt while looking pretty serious about his business.
The restaurant’s name is a reference to the iconic line in his 2002 hit song “Lose Yourself.”
The menu is pretty simple: Mom’s Spaghetti for $9, Mom’s Spaghetti with Meatballs for $12 and a S’ghetti sandwich for $11. Rabbit balls are available as a vegan substitute for meat balls and pop or water costs $3.
Eminem and his manager, Paul Rosenberg, came up with the restaurant’s concept years ago and opened Mom’s Spaghetti as a pop-up for the first time in 2017 at a Detroit club named The Shelter.
“The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring Mom’s Spaghetti spot that would be open all year long,” Rosenberg said in a news release.
