1. Crime Scene Cleaner
This game is a must play game if you are a true crime buff and also love games like house flipper because this has you playing a father, who has a daughter stuck in the hospital, and a massive medical bill. You are a school janitor and happen to come in contact with a mafia boss who wants you to clean up his messes. The story has you going to places from apartment buildings to camp grounds to even a factory. You clean up trash, mop up blood and are always questioning your life choices.
Crime Scene Cleaner is available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and PlayStation 5.
2. Dungeons of Hinterburg
This game takes everything you love from dungeon crawlers and story driven games and mashes them together to make this masterpiece. You are visiting the town of Hinterburg where people come for the dungeons. You fight, gain spells, do quests and get closer to some of the NPCs all while wondering if you want to go back to your simple life as a lawyer.
Dungeons of Hinterburg is available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
3. Dying Light
If you enjoy zombie games then this one is one of the best because not only are there tons of zombies to mash their brains out, but you can make weapons, make things like decoys made of meat to distract the zombies and do a lot of parkour, jumping from tops of buildings like you’re a ninja. At night though, you are stalked by a dangerous type of zombie that has you staying indoors just to survive the dying light.
Dying Light is available on PC via Steam, MacOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (Backwards Compatibility), Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S (Backwards Compatibility).
4. Far Cry Primal
If you enjoy the Far Cry series like I do, this one takes a different approach because you are a caveman and you have built a clan to protect yourself and make sure you make it through another day. Help your clan build up their huts and gain special tools to help you hunt big giant mammoths that threaten you and your clan.
Far Cry: Primal is available on PC via Steam and Ubisoft Connect, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (Backwards Compatibility), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (Backwards Compatibility), and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
5. Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time
You ever play those games where you can pick a job but you can only do that one job, or that one class, but you always wanted to be able to be a rogue, barbarian, mage, swordsman and archer all at once. Well in this game you can. You can also be a cook, fisherman, blacksmith, alchemist and lots of different “lives” as well. In this game, your life is yours to choose.
Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time is available on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and mobile via iOS and Android.
