On Wednesday, a television ad that was promoting President Donald Trump began airing on cable. The issue with this was that it was labeled as stating that the advertisement promoting Trump was paid for by the U.S. government. To explain further why this is an issue, there is a federal prohibition on using taxpayer dollars for publicity or propaganda in America. So the question is: with these ads now airing, paid for using taxpayer money for televised propaganda, why don’t rules apply to President Trump?
Here’s a list of just the constitutional amendments Donald Trump broke last year in 2025:
The First Amendment- Violated the rights of students and faculty at college campuses who were protesting for Palestine by using ICE to intimidate, arrest, and detain them.
Fourth Amendment- Through his excessive use of ICE, allowing these “officers” to do raids, searches, detain, arrest, and use force on individuals without needing probable cause, warrants, or reason.
Fifth Amendment- By violating the amendment in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case and the rights of due process by deporting Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, and the administration admitted it was illegal.
Fourteenth Amendment- By ending birthright citizenship, President Trump violated it directly because the amendment states citizenship is granted to all persons born or naturalized in the United States.
And President Trump is actively looking towards violating the Twenty-second Amendment by being elected for a third term.
That’s just five constitutional laws just from last year that he has violated and is attempting to violate. So how can the President get away with breaking the constitutional foundational laws, on top of breaking legislative laws, and being a felon, etc etc., and get away with it with almost zero repercussions?
Honest, blunt answer: Donald Trump has formed a cult within America that believes the words he says to the fullest, and people who are willing to throw away all reasoning and live in complete bias if it means President Trump is the glorious leader in their eyes still. Yet many of his recent actions (broken promises, quality of life, gas prices, the war in Iran, foreign policy with countries primarily in the Middle East) have led to many of the believers and Trump truthers beginning to question and even go as far as turning against the president, and his approval numbers show it. No president has been able to get away with more than President Trump, and it’s starting to seem like with each rash passing decision he decides to make, his foothold fortress he’s created in America weakens.
