Courtney Love accuses Olivia Rodrigo of copying album cover

With all the success and firsts singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, 18, is receiving from her debut album SOUR, it is only prudent that she gets herself involved in unnecessary drama. Despite Rodrigo’s homage to Courtney Love in the promo art for her “Sour Prom” concert film, Love did not seem flattered.

Olympic hammer thrower and activist Gwen Berry responded to backlash after she turned away from the U.S. flag to face the stands while the national anthem was being played during the medal ceremony on Saturday. Towards the end of the song, Berry put a black T-shirt over her head with the words, “Activist Athlete.” Berry’s action drew many criticisms.

On Hope Week, Yanks do what they do!

The Yankees may not be playing like we are accustomed to seeing them play at the moment however they never forget Thier responsibilities to Thier fans off the field. Yes the number one priority is to win but ever since George Steinbrenner purchased the team in 1973 he always found it important to do the right thing for the people of New York.

Songs that “sound like they should play at a Target” Deserve a Chance

Sza and Doja Cat’s highly anticipated “Kiss me More” collaboration was released in early April and was greeted with immediate mockery. Tiktok was filled with complaints of the song being too upbeat, and “sounding like it should be playing at Target.” This is hard to believe after Kiss Me More reached number 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Shortly after its slander, the song became unironically viral and began receiving all sorts of praise.

Vice President Harris Visits the Southern U.S. Border

Harris faced criticism for her visit to Guatemala earlier this month, where she said to migrants, “do not come,” when addressing increased immigration to the United States. A few days ago, Harris visited the U.S.-Mexico border for the first time, a visit which many believe should have been made months ago when she aimed to address the “root causes” of immigration.

The Return of the Claw Clip

The Return of the Claw Clip

Several 90s trends have made comebacks in 2021, one of which is the claw clip. I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the claw clip reemerge on my Instagram and Tik Tok a few months ago, as these statement clips are the perfect tool for an easy updo. Claw clips are elegant, yet effortless: perfect for summer especially in hot, humid weather.

Folklore Vs. Evermore: Which 2020 Taylor Swift Album is Better?

Folklore Vs. Evermore: Which 2020 Taylor Swift Album is Better?

Taylor Swift released two masterpieces in 2020: sister folk-pop albums ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore.’ While both are spectacular, I believe that ‘Folklore’ is ultimately a stronger album on the whole. I love ‘Folklore’ because Swift sticks to one genre and music style throughout all seventeen songs (including bonus track ‘The Lakes’) in a way that does not feel dull or overdone.

Why Results from NYC’s Mayoral Race Won’t Be Instant

New York City has implemented a ranked-choice voting system for its mayoral primary race. This new system has voters rank their top five choices in order of preference, rather than simply picking their first choice.
