Two U.S. Army Helicopters Crash, Killing 3 Soldiers

Two U.S. Army helicopters collided Thursday as they were flying back from a military training flight near Healy, Alaska. The collisions killed three soldiers and injured one. Two soldiers died at the scene and the third died while being transported to a hospital, according to a press release from the U.S. Army’s 11th Airborne Division.

Over the weekend, the U.S. military fired down three more objects after officials said they presented a threat to civilian airspace.
The amazing incident occurred about a week after a Chinese surveillance balloon was shot down by the United States off the coast of South Carolina, days after it was initially claimed that it was hovering over the continent of America.
On Saturday, the mission was approved by President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau. Biden then gave the U.S. military the go-ahead to send an F-22 fighter plane to Canada to shoot the object down.
There are still significant gaps in what even the government has learned about the most recent objects plucked out of the sky and publicly broadcast, despite the fact that U.S. officials have revealed some information about it.

Democrat candidate, Mary Peltola, beat Sarah Palin in the race for Alaska’s seat in the House. The win for Petola made her the first Native Alaskan to earn a seat in the U.S. Congress. The victory for Petola is also interesting because she won the seat for the Democratic party in a state that has been considered Republican-dominated for the last several decades.

On Wednesday, democrat Mary Peltola won the special election for Alaska’s only U.S. House of Representative seat, stealing the seat from Republican representative Sarah Palin. The latter sought a political comeback in the state where she was once the governor. Peltola will become the first Alaska Native to serve in the House and the first woman to hold the seat. She will serve the remaining months of the late Republican U.S. Rep. Don Young’s term. Young had held the seat for 49 years before his death in March.
