Idaho police arrested 31 members of a white supremacist group at a pride event, charging them with plotting to riot. Members of the Patriot Front group were also found with riot gear and a smoke grenade in their vehicle. Those who were arrested had traveled from 11 different states, with only one of them being an Idaho resident.

Korean Pop Bands Meets with Biden
The South Korean band BTS met with United States President Joe Biden on May 31st, to address the issue of hate crimes against Asians in America. The meeting fell on the final day of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander month. BTS is no stranger to fundraising and speaking out for social justice issues, they consider themselves youth ambassadors and focus on spreading a positive message worldwide.
Focusing on the Continuing Violence and Racism Against Asian Americans
Hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders continue to soar. As of a recent report from stopaapihate.org, from March of 2020 to December of 2021, there have been a total of 10,905 reported hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Verbal harassment is the biggest category 63.0% with physical assault following in second 16.2%, and avoidance of AAPIs at 16.1%. In March of 2020, WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic and President Donald Trump declared coronavirus a national emergency.
