The Super Bowl Recap: From Kansas Chief Victory to Rihanna’s Pregnancy

The Super Bowl Recap: From Kansas Chief Victory to Rihanna’s Pregnancy

Once again, the Kansas City Chiefs are the Super Bowl champions.
At State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 38-35 to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The championship is the third for head coach Andy Reid and the second in quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ career. When they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV in 2020, the team’s last victory occurred.
The first brother-versus-brother Super Bowl matchup was between Eagles center Jason Kelce and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Travis and Jason have both previously won the game, with the Chiefs in 2020 and the Eagles in 2018.

Fox News Is Giving Greg Gutfeld a Super Bowl Ad

Fox News Is Giving Greg Gutfeld a Super Bowl Ad

This Sunday, the Fox News host will receive the Super Bowl treatment when the cable news network airs a 15-second ad during the game advertising his 11 p.m. late-night program Gutfeld!
The game, which is televised on the Fox broadcast network, will have just the Fox News Channel advertisement. During the Fox pregame broadcast, there will also be a 10-second advertisement.
The broadcast networks that host the Super Bowl all air “house” advertisements for their own brands (whether it be a program, a streaming service, or a movie), but given the prominence of the Super Bowl, very few internal ventures often make the cut.

Joe Burrow leads Bengals back to Super Bowl, Eagles join them

Joe Burrow leads Bengals back to Super Bowl, Eagles join them

Last weekend, the early heat in the playoff game predictions gradually subsided. The weekend wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either.
This matchup features two strong teams with strong run games and fronts on defense. No matter how many offensive playmakers are on the field, it will be determined up front. Last week’s rout of the Giants by the Eagles was impressive, but the 49ers’ victory over Dallas at home was close. In that contest, the San Francisco offense had some issues, but Brock Purdy overcame them to earn his sixth consecutive victory as a starter.

He was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer – renal medullary carcinoma – in August, but passed away on Wednesday. Hillman’s family wrote on Instagram that the former running back “quietly and peacefully transitioned today in the company of his family and close friends.”

Best Super Bowl Halftime Shows Ranked Worst to Best

Best Super Bowl Halftime Shows Ranked Worst to Best

The Super Bowl halftime show is the biggest music gig that anyone could ask for. It’s also the only reason why I watch the Super Bowl (sorry NFL fans!). This show is super important since these musicians only have about 15 minutes to gain their status as legends. Millions of people are watching, most of whom are consuming large amounts of food or alcoholic beverages while placing bets on who they think the winner will be. This is the biggest worldwide audience of an artist’s life, so getting this right is a huge factor in their success.

Does the Super Bowl Halftime Show Outshine the Game?

Does the Super Bowl Halftime Show Outshine the Game?

Yesterday, the NFL and Apple Music announced that Rihanna would be performing at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show. All of the buzz surrounding this announcement got me thinking about the halftime show and its grip on Americans. Whoever performs at this event will ultimately determine how many non-sports enthusiasts turn on the game. The more people like the chosen performer, the more people will go out of their way to switch their channels to watch the game. I just think that it’s really interesting how much pull a halftime show can have over a game.
