In a historic win for Las Vegas, The Las Vegas Aces women’s basketball team are the newest recipients of the 2022 WNBA Championship trophy. They are the first major league team to bring a title to Vegas after beating the Connecticut Sun on Sept. 18–and to show its pride, the city held a championship parade for the team on Tuesday. Topping off an already incredible win, Gov. Steve Sisolak even declared Sept. 20 “Las Vegas Aces Day”. Mark that on your calendars, Aces fans!

South Carolina Wins NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship
With a score of 64-49, The University of South Carolina defeated the University of Connecticut, making the Gamecocks the 2022 NCAA Women’s March Madness champions. South Carolina secured the lead just by half-time, a lead they continued to advance until the end of the game. Among many record-breaking accomplishments throughout the year, the win is the second national title for the University of South Carolina’s women’s basketball program.
