Tom Brady Thinks He Could Play In The NFL Until 50

Tom Brady may change his plans and break an NFL record while at it.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback believes he can still be a valuable team player in the NFL until he’s 50 years old.

Brady, 44, talked about his retiring age during an interview for the “Tommy & Gronky” show, which is produced by the Buccaneers.

The video was posted to social media on Thursday and shows Brady being interviewed by his friend and long-term teammate, Rob Gronkowski. The interview is based on them answering the internet’s most searched questions about each other.

“Can Tom Brady play until 50 years old?” asked Gronkowski.

“I don’t find it so difficult,” replied Brady. “Plus, in Florida, it’s kind of a retiree state, so I feel like I can play and then just glide into retirement. I think I can. I think it’s a yes.”

The legendary quarterback has been saying for a while that he plans on playing in the NFL until the age of 45. Now that he is a year away, he seems to be changing his mind.

If he does play until he’s 50, he will become the oldest person to ever play in the NFL. That record is currently held by George Blanda, who played his final game in December 1975 at the age of 48.
