The Appeal of Binging Games vs Taking Your Time With Them

Video games have a wide array of ways to play them and while many have their preferred ways that suit them best, there are benefits for both binging video games and taking them slowly at your own pace.  Binging video games for one can have the benefit of enjoying a higher number of video games […]

Corner Store Snacks Raised Me

When I was a kid, the best part of having a few bucks—or even just a handful of quarters—was knowing exactly where I was headed. The donut shop down the street was the spot. I’d save up whatever change I could find and walk down like I was going on a real mission. The family who ran […]

Health Centers at Risk Due to Government Shutdown

For those unaware, as of October 1st, the United States federal government has been shut down temporarily as the democratic and republican congress members have refused to pass a funding resolution. On Wednesday morning, part of a 20‑story public housing building in the Bronx collapsed after what officials say was likely a gas explosion. Fingers Crossed

I left the womb complaining.

“Tight fit, Mom.”

I walked the next day, wobbly at first, but when I sobered up, problem solved.

At two, I wrote my first book about a fish that couldn’t swim. I illustrated it the year before.

I played the piano at age four, became a lawyer at five, was jailed for related reasons at six.

I became king of a small island nation at age seven was exiled to the royal forest a year later.

Still living there, still drinking some.

At night, I play piano while the trees dance cheek to cheek.
