While the men’s USA basketball team did end up winning, the true story of the weekend for Olympic basketball was the milestone that Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi accomplished after beating Japan in the gold medal game on Sunday. The teammates became the first basketball players ever, male or female, to win five gold medals, making them, now, the greatest duo in Olympic basketball history.
