Macaulay Culkin was clearly not home alone on Tuesday night and made a rare appearance at the 2021 Gucci Love Parade runway.
The former child star strutted down Hollywood Boulevard wearing a Hawaiian shirt tucked under a floral bomber jacket and camel beige pants held tight by a Gucci belt. A pair of studded clogs and 70s-styled tinted sunglasses completed the 41-year-old’s look.
Culkin has remained out of the spotlight for most of his adult life and his appearance as a runway model for Gucci surprised the audience. He also became a father for the first time earlier this year.
The star-studded event was held outside Los Angeles’ iconic TLC Chinese Theater, where Gucci creative director, Alessandro Michele, converted a stretch of sidewalk into a catwalk.
“I think with fashion, you have a duty to give a voice,” Michele told reporters for Elle UK after the show. “I see beauty everywhere. It’s something which is organic and natural.” He said he gets inspiration from the “timeless magic” of Hollywood, its glamorous past and stories that his mother, a former film production company assistant, would tell him about cinema’s golden age.
Some of the other celebrities that took the runway that night were Jodie Turner-Smith, Phoebe Bridgers, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jared Leto.
Leto is a longtime friend of the brand and played fashion designer Paolo Gucci in House of Gucci, Ridley Scott’s new film that is set to release later this month.
