Miuccia Bianchi Prada is an Italian fashion designer and businesswoman. Born in Milan, Italy, Bianchi had gotten a political science degree at the University of Milan and was an active member of her country’s Communist party and feminist movement.

She entered the fashion industry after inheriting her grandfather’s leather goods business alongside her siblings. Eventually, the business would pass into her and her future husband’s hands, where they quickly created the company’s first clothing line. Bianchi became notable for her bold style that exemplified her attitudes towards female self-acceptance.

Later in the 90s, Bianchi would create the Parisian style female clothing brand Miu Miu, launching with the Women’s Tales series, where she promoted the cinematographic work of young women.
