Broncos Super Bowl 50 Champion Ronnie Hillman Dies at Age 31
Super Bowl winner Ronnie Hillman has died of cancer at the age of 31, his family announced Thursday. After being drafted in 2012, running back Hillman was the Denver Broncos’ leading rusher during the 2015 season in which they were crowned Super Bowl 50 champions. He was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer – renal medullary carcinoma – in August, but passed away on Wednesday. Hillman’s family wrote on Instagram that the former running back “quietly and peacefully transitioned today in the company of his family and close friends.”

Demaryius Thomas Had Stage 2 CTE
It has been revealed that ex-NFL wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas, had stage 2 chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) at the time of his death. According to doctors, CTE is a form of brain degeneration which has been found in several other athletes. Thomas’s family and the Concussion Legacy Foundation announced on Tuesday that Thomas had stage 2 CTE at the time of his death.
Denver Broncos Sold for $4.65B
The Denver Broncos were just sold to new owners. The team will officially be sold for $4.65 billion to the ownership group that owns and is led by Walmart’s Company heir Rob Walton. The Walton family will acquire the NFL team from the Pat Bowlen Trust and will need to be approved by the NFL’s finance committee and leave before it can become official.
Russell Wilson Traded from Seattle Seahawks to Denver Broncos
The Seattle Seahawks have officially traded Quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, making it one of the biggest trades in NFL history. After weeks of talks, this trade was made official early Wednesday morning, right before the start of the new league year. Additionally, the Seahawks will send another 2022 fourth-round pick to Denver in addition to Wilson.
