Emmanuel Macron has defeated far-right rival Marine Le Pen in France’s Presidential Election. With 58.5% of the vote Macron achieved re-election, the first French leader to do so in 20 years. Macron and Le Pen were the top two candidates following the first round of elections on April 10th, out of the 12 Macron came out on top during that election as well.
