Drake’s response to Kendrick Lamar’s diss tracks is pathetic. (Op-Ed)

Kendrick Lamar released three stunning, excoriating diss tracks over the weekend that brought the truth to light; Drake has a daughter that he has kept secret from the world. It seems that when Drake gets into arguments with rappers, he spawns another child. He is never beating the deadbeat dad allegations, oh no. Since “The […]

Kendrick Lamar’s “euphoria” response to Drake’s diss track is explosive and excoriating. (Op-Ed)

Kendrick Lamar has finally responded to Drake’s diss, and I have never heard Lamar so violently angry in my life; as a long-time fan of Lamar, I am familiar with his entire discography. The six-minute track was dropped on Tuesday afternoon with no promotion or warning, and if I were Drake, I would be quaking […]

Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer, Drake texts minors; the winner is clear. (Op-Ed)

Drake found himself in the center of an apparent feud last week with Pulitzer winner Kendrick Lamar. On Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, We Don’t Trust You: Kendrick Lamar took an apparent dig at him on “Like That,” rapping, “Motherf*** the big three, n****, it’s just big me.” The line is seemingly a reference to a J. Cole […]

Why are all the Women in the Music Industry Beautiful?

“You know Ed Sheeran is a good singer because even though he’s ugly he’s still famous.” This direct quote is one of the few specific things I remember being said in middle school. While I am not sure why Ed Sheeran’s talent or appearance was the topic of conversation that day, seven years later the quote has clearly stuck with me. Beyond it being a poignant representation of both a middle schooler’s humor and logic, it remains to be uncharacteristically truthful.
