Russian Troops Retreat as Ukraine Gains Momentum
As the war in Ukraine surpasses the 200-day mark, Ukraine has made long-awaited counteroffensives forcing Russian troops to flee from Ukraine’s Kharkiv area. Ukraine’s retaliation began in late August, focusing on the Southern region of Kherson. When Moscow redirected troops there, Ukraine made effective counteroffensive actions near Kharkiv in the northeast.
Ukraine War: 9 Dead and 19 Injured in Kharkiv
Yesterday afternoon, Ukrainian citizens reported that the Russian troops had started bombarding the city of Kharkiv, which is about 50 km from the Russian border, again. The Russian artillery was mostly directed at suburban homes and buildings. At least nine people are said to have lost their lives in the fire.
