COVID hotspots on the rise

This most recent wave has driven hospitalizations to over 47,000, which is the highest number
since March 4 th . Last week, 38 states reported an increase in their numbers, according to the
Department of Health and Human Services. However, the largest concern with this wave is that
the cases seem to be concentrated in different “hotspots” around the country.
