Imagine a world where everyone wakes up feeling refreshed every morning. They get up and tackle their daily responsibilities with a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm, and at the end of the day, they have time to pursue their passions. They go to sleep feeling accomplished and relaxed. This world may sound like a distant fantasy to some, but the Sunshine Protection Act could make it a reality. The Sunshine Protection Act is an act that was passed by the Senate earlier in March of this year, with the goal of making Daylight Saving Time a permanent thing in the U.S.. That would mean springing forward one last time in order to regain the extra hour of daylight we “lose” when we fall back, and then afterwards, never worrying about time changes again. The Sunshine Protection Act would be beneficial for all people as the repercussions of these time changes have detrimental implications on people’s physical and mental well being, that tragically often results in death.
