With the Olympics officially starting in less than 48 hours in Tokyo, the excitement and anticipation is starting to build. Hundreds of athletes from all over the world will be on the biggest stage fighting their hearts out to win a medal. I personally love watching the Summer Olympic Games, mainly because I find all of the unique events entertaining and I love watching so many things going on at the same time.

Damian Lillard made headlines all weekend. The only thing is, he actually didn’t do anything. On Friday, a report came out on the NBA website TrueHoop that alleged that Lillard, the superstar of the Portland Trailblazers, was planning to request a trade in the coming days. Twitter, as it does, when absolutely insane over this development, but Lillard himself didn’t hear about any of this nor was he able to respond until Friday afternoon.
Wednesday night marked a crucial game for both teams in the NBA Finals, with the Phoenix Suns looking to take a 3-1 series lead and put the Bucks in a position where they’d have to win three games in a row, and the Milwaukee Bucks were looking to tie up the series 2-2 and shift the entire momentum their way. Ultimately, the Bucks prevailed, winning by six in a 109-103 result.

It has been a truly remarkable year for actor and comedian Kenan Thompson. He just came off of his eighteenth year on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ his new sitcom ‘Kenan’ premiered on NBC with a stellar first season, and he is being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a part of the Class of 2022. Now, adding on to all of those other accomplishments, Thompson has been nominated for two Emmy Awards!
Tuesday night was the 2021 MLB All Star Game, which aired on Fox. 40 of the best players in the entire game of baseball gave the fans in attendance, and those watching at home, an entertaining game, and a matchup that was won by the American League in a score of 5-2. The game saw 20 of the best players in the American League face off against the 20 best players from the National League. For the eighth straight year, the American League came out victorious, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., of the Toronto Blue Jays, was given the distinct honor of All-Star Game MVP.
