On Tuesday March 8th, President Biden announced that he was putting in place a ban on imports of Russian oil and other energy. Despite acknowledging that this ban would cause a rise in domestic oil prices for the U.S., Biden announced the ban as retaliation for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. However, there is conflicting opinion on what the true cause of the price spike is, and when it really started.

On Tuesday, President Biden announced that the United States is banning all imports of Russian oil, gas and energy in an effort to target the Russian economy’s “main artery” during Putin’s attack on Ukraine.
Why Slam Poetry Shouldn’t Really be Called Poetry

The truck sounded the same few notes while not ten feet away, a purse snatcher plied his trade on the oldest-looking, whitest-haired, most wrinkled, bony-fingered, four-eyed woman, wearing the largest pink-framed sunglasses I ever saw.
I wondered if I should call 911 or walk away when her knee, aimed like her life depended on it, met the space below his baseball bat.
Her problem solved.
Meanwhile, the last Yankee standing, with the crowd cheering behind him, struck out.
