There are few people, let alone players, who have embodied the Yankee mystique than Lou Gehrig did. “The Iron Horse” embodied professionalism, integrity, and grit, always putting the team before everything, even as a cruel disease robbed him of everything he worked for at such a young age. From his youth in Manhattan, through his days at Columbia University through all those great Yankees teams and even into that last iconic speech, Lou was, and still is, “The Pride of The Yankees.”

One can immediately think of adventure, a strong emotion, or heroism when you hear a tune played in a major or minor key. Consider the 2014 film Interstellar, or the last installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s phase three, record-breaking film Avengers: Endgame. It was reported last week that 35 House Republicans had voted for a commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol, siding with Democrats. Now, the bill faces the Senate, where Republicans are expected to shut it down. The Republicans are prepared to use their filibuster power, meaning that it would require 60 votes to pass the bill. Due to the lack of majority, as the Senate is split 50-50, Democrats would need at least ten Republicans to vote in favor of the bill for the commission to be instated.
