When faced with something as unpleasant as political scandals it can be hard for people to find the positive side of things. More often than not, these types of scandals leave people feeling downtrodden, evoking feelings of mistrust and hopelessness in a system that we are told is meant to serve us, “the people.” But there is an expression that I think best sums up my outlook on the nature of political scandals, and it is that, “all press is good press.” That is to say, any attention brought to a cause, whether through scandal or not, has the potential to be beneficial.
