The Ukrainian soldiers were blocking the advancement of Russian soldiers in Kyiv, but they also garnered their focus on helping their civilians flee from the fighting.
The Talk May Need a Bit More Work Between Russia and Ukraine
On Monday, leaders of Russia and Ukraine met at the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to cover diplomatic plans involving the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin did not meet in this meeting. The delegates of each nation visited on Monday – the topics of discussion were not yet revealed. Kyiv faces conflict as citizens are forced to stay inside. With Russian soldiers taking over the city, Ukrainian citizens cannot go outside because they will be risked being labeled as the enemy.
