Since 1921 the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has been held almost annually to honor journalists who report on the president of the United States. The event which highlights the value of freedom from censorship and government interference in journalism is also a fundraiser for journalism scholarships. After two years without the dinner due to concerns over Covid, it returned this past Saturday hosted by Trevor Noah.
