A Slow Start to Tackle Homelessness on the Subway

Last week, Mayor Eric Adams and Governor Kathy Hochul vowed to remove the homeless population that has been sleeping in New York City’s subways to decrease subway attacks and establish a safer environment for commuters. The plan entails sending homeless people to homeless shelters and positioning specialized cops with mental health professionals in the subway grounds. Security forces focused on four out of six subway stations that have higher homeless populations sleeping in those grounds.
