At least 8 people were injured during an armed conflict that occurred amidst a massive celebration for Martin Luther King Jr. Day last Monday in Florida. Detectives are still gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. However, so far there are no suspects or arrests.
Over one thousand people attended a block party at Ilous Ellis Park in Fort Pierce for a celebration in honor of Martin Luther King’s life and civil rights efforts. During a car show with live music, multiple gunshots were heard at approximately 5:20 p.m. local time, just after a parade had ended, authorities said.
