December 11th of 2020, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine was approved by the CDC for emergency use on persons 16 years and older within high-risk categories. Following the approval, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommended the Pfizer vaccine for the prevention of the Covid-19 virus.
