Mark Emmert Steps Down as President of the NCAA
In a mutual agreement with Mark Emmert, he would step down as the president of the NCAA by the middle of next year. This decision has made administrators and executives frustrated. John J. DeGioia, the Georgetown University president, said, “With the significant transitions underway within college sports, the timing of this decision provides the association with consistent leadership during the coming months plus the opportunity to consider what will be the future role of the president.”
