The Biden Administration has made some changes on how they will operate the asylum status for immigrants seeking asylum in the United States. Instead of having the immigration judges look over the asylum applicants, the process would be in the responsibility of the asylum officer. This would allow the asylum process to expedite to six months instead of the original waiting time of about five years.
