In 2015, the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage throughout the United States. Now, nearly eight years later, Iowa has a plan to prohibit these rights in its state. Iowa was one of the earlier states to support gay marriage, legally recognizing same sex unity in 2009. At the present time, Iowa legislators are seeking a ban on gay marriage.
