Soft Rock Legend Jim Seals Dies at 80

Singer of the 1970s soft-rock band Seals and Croft, Jim Seals, has died at the age of 80, according to his family and friends. Best known for being a part of the soft-rock duo, Seals and Croft were best known for chart-topping hits such as “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl,” and “Get Closer.” The soft-rock pair met Texas as teens, and they got together in the late 1960s and started the well-known band known today. They have ranked high in the wave of soft-rock groups like America and Bread, Hall & Oates, and England Dan & John Ford Coley.
