There has been controversy surrounding the “Snow Princess” also known as Eileen Gu and China’s patriotism towards her. Gu is a 18-year-old U.S. born freestyle skier for the Chinese team. She is considered a prominent figure for China at the Winter Olympics. Gu was able to win gold at the Beijing 2022 games.

Turns Out Russian Skater Kamila Valieva Can Still Compete
Recently, Russian Skater Kamila Valieva failed the drug test to compete for the Olympics. She is now cleared to continue skating for the Olympics. This is because she is taking a drug for her heart medication and Valieva will be able to compete in the individual women’s skating competition Tuesday. In last week’s performance, Valieva was able to land a perfect quadruple jump.
