The Senate passed legislation on Thursday that will “more forcefully investigate hate crimes, particularly those against Asian Americans.” The bill, officially titled the “COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act,” was introduced last month in response to the significant rise in violence against Asians that has been observed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
