The Switch from Cable Broadcasting of Sports to Strictly Streaming

With the majority of new shows and movies being directly linked to one streaming service, such as “Stranger Things” being a Netflix Original, and “Ted Lasso” being an Apple TV+ exclusive show, young adults and new homeowners are quickly leaving cable services in the past, and strictly streaming all entertainment. The one anomaly to the “everything is streamed” rule is sports broadcasting, a massive industry in which the general demographic includes more individuals within the Gen X and Millennial age range, who may already subscribe to cable services.
