Dr. Mehmet Oz, who started off as a heart surgeon before becoming TV’s favorite celebrity doctor and fad diet enthusiast, is currently competing in the race for Senate as a Republican against Democrat, John Fetterman. The fight is for the chance to represent the state of Pennsylvania. The doctor has been in the public eye for nearly 20 years now, after having first appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show as a special guest. But now, years after getting his start on TV thanks to Oprah, and even gaining his own show, The Dr. Oz Show, from the popularity of her past endorsement, it seems as though something has soured between the two, at least, politically speaking.
