You try to swim upwards, but the water is pushing you down. You sink into a black abyss, not knowing what it is like in the big blue ocean. That is how we students feel every day with school.

From Rhode Island, 11,000 pairs of dance shoes twirled their way to Queens. Materials for the Arts is a large warehouse in New York City that partnered with the Joyce Theater and Karen Brooks Hopkins to give away shoes to dancers. The shoes were estimated to have cost $600,000.00. Ocean State Job Lot donated a lot of dance shoes that range from toddlers to adults. These shoes would be provided to dancers in New York City’s theaters and organizations so they can get these with no extra cost.

Frustrated Florida boaters plan to deliver resources to Cuba using their own boats

Last week, many groups near South Florida began organizing supplies to deliver to Cuba, where citizens are in critical need of food and medical supplies amid an economic crisis.

As protests in solidarity occurred in Florida, many grew frustrated with the U.S. government’s lack of response and have decided to take matters into their own hands. An organizer, Osdany Veloz, said that boaters plan to travel near Cuba’s coastline to make Cubans aware of their support without them having to cross into Cuban territory.
