The MLB has come out of lockdown just in time for spring. The lockdown initially began in December 2021, after contracts were unable to agree. The Collective Bargaining agreement expired, and no new conclusion could be reached. This now marks the 9th lockout in baseball history.

U.S. House of Representatives Vote to Suspend Trade with Russia and Belarus
Nearly three weeks after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the House of Representatives have voted to suspend regular trade relations with Russia, and its close ally Belarus. The decision comes as an attempt to further isolate Russia’s economy in retaliation for Putin’s aggression towards Ukraine. The vote was nearly anonymous, a bipartisan agreement with 424 yes’s and only 8 no’s.
Blinken Says that the US Will Punish China if they Provide Military Aid to Russia
At a news conference in Washington, Thursday afternoon, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the US will punish China’s leader President Xi Jinping if they provide military aid to Russia. Because of China’s diplomatic ties to President Vladimir V. Putin, Mr. Blinken believes its President Xi’s responsibility to convince Putin to end their hostile attacks against Ukraine.

Liz Cheney has been open about her dislike for former President Donald Trump and his policies for some time now. For this she has not only received criticism and attacks from Trump himself but also other members of the Republican Party. More recently, Cheney has gained both positive and negative attention for her involvement in the investigation of the January 6th attack on the US capitol. While the Republican National Committee has voted to censure her for this, she has also recently received an increase in donations for her reelection bid from those who would like to move the party away from the era of Trump.
